Originally from the collection of Apollo 12 CM pilot Richard Gordon :
Absolutely stunning 8x10 presentation containing four approx. 1.5x0.75'' foil segments of the original Apollo 18 Lunar Module that never flew - presented to designated mission commander Richard Gordon!
Gordon wrote a nice COA on his letterhead giving some funny backgrounds about the LM "I would have been the 13th moonwalker and fly LM-13....let's think about this. After what has happened on Apollo 13, maybe it shouldn't have flown"
:-)
Attached to the backside is another COA from the restoration of LM-18.
Extremely rare piece of Apollo memorabilia with an unbeatable (funny) letter of authenticity !
Mint condition !
