Apollo 11 CM FLOWN Kapton + LM artifact acrylic

Estimated delivery time : 4-12 business days depending on country, ships immediately

Apollo 11 carried the first humans to the surface of the moon - Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin - july 16th-24th 1969

Offered as a unique setting :
A flown piece of "Columbia" along with an (unflown) spare original piece of the lunar lander "Eagle".

Acrylic block containing a flown piece of Kapton flown to the moon on Apollo 11 and a spare unflown Kapton foil fragment removed from the LM before the flight. Since the LM didn't fly back to earth, no flown parts do exist obviously.

Made out of the most advanced acrylic available on the market today - Plexid 55 - these are ultraclear with no discoloration over time. Unlike other privately made acrylics or lucites these are real blocks, not cheaply glued or screwed together. Each block is about 5''x3''x1'' in size - perfect for any office table or even flat down in a cabinet.

The flown CM Kapton foil is originally from the collection of William Whipkey, NASA JSC head of machine shop and the unflown LM Kapton foil is from the collection of Ron Daugherty, president of the Challenger society.

Only 50 such acrylics were made and each comes with a COA and documentation about the background of the artifacts.
