Mercury Aurora 7 was the second manned orbital Mercury mission piloted by Scott Carpenter. Launched May 24th 1962 Carpenter faced some navigation problems and landed 400km off-target in the Atlantic ocean.


This 8x10 presentation bears a fragment of the flown Mercury Aurora 7 survival gear retaining lanyard and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The source of this fragment was a presentation presented by the commanding officer of the USS Farragut.
